My kids and I go to Zapopan a couple of times a week! We LOVE the food and people! The owner is always there walking around and is extra sweet to my kids. All of the staff are great!

Whatever you may think about small town restaurants between Birmingham and Montgomery, get it out your mind now. When you go to "Zaps" as most call it in Montevallo, expect the following: Good service: The service is excellent! The waiters come around often to provide water or to simply check in. They earn their tip and appreciate their customers in such a small college town. Delicious drank: oh yes...get the margaritas, they don't play...nuff said! Questionable decor: Carpet, no...they should have tile. Single bathroom: one stall bathrooms seem like no biggie, but all those people drinking margaritas and water can sometimes create a line outside their bano! Fantastic Tortillas and even better Salsa: warm, thick, and homemade tortillas served with fresh and authentic salsa...No canned or bagged item sold here!
Took five kids there. Had a great time. Yum! Really good salsa. Shrimp fajitas excellent. Got all my many dietary restrictions correct.
